The best kept Secret

There is a best kept secret in Fine Art Photography marketing and it is that a poor quality photograph well marketed with always outsell a good photograph poorly marketed.

This is because good art and good business don’t go hand in hand. The two exist on different planes. In art, a good artist will prevail. But in business, a good businessman will definitely get ahead of a good artist.

What this means is that if you desire to make a living from your work, you have to study marketing. Otherwise you simply will not succeed.
