Art and Technique

A Fine Art Photograph demonstrates technical mastery and artistic inspiration

Do not forget to work on both the art and the technique of your Fine Art Photographs and not only on one or the other! Fine Art Photography is not “Art” if there is no artistic content, and it is not “Fine” if you do not master the technical aspects.

Good art implies good technique, but using good technique alone does not result in the creation of art. Similarly, creating good art without mastering the technique will not result in the creation of Fine Art Photographs.

To be considered Fine Art a photograph must be both technically excellent and artistically inspired.
