I offer a limited number of opportunities to work with me directly, one on one, either over the phone or in person. Here is a brief description of the programs I offer. The goal of each one-on-one consulting program is to help you personally in the most efficient manner. To this end each program is customized to meet your unique needs and goals.

After discussing with you what your needs are I will make suggestions about the most efficient approach to help you reach your goals. To insure you get the best help I can possibly offer I only work with a very limited number of students. I will let you know my availability when you contact me.

1 -One on One Print Review
This program is designed to provide you with an in-depth look at your photography. It is the perfect complement to a photography workshop. In fact, we offer a special "Beaux Arts Photography workshop participant price" when you sign up for a print review after attending one of our workshops. This one-on-one tutoring program is one of my most popular and results in dramatic improvements.

This is how the print review works:

1-After our initial contact during a workshop, over the phone or by email, we schedule a date and time which is convenient for both you and I. My normal business hours for consulting are 9am to 5pm, Arizona time. Exceptions can be made if your schedule does not accommodate those times. If you live near Phoenix, Arizona, or will be visiting Phoenix, we can arrange to meet in my studio for your review.

2- You send me a selection of your photographs either as jpegs over email, on a CD or DVD, or as prints. You can send as few or as many images as you like. There are no minimum or maximum number of images.

3- Before our call I review the photographs you sent me. At the appointed time I call you at the number of your choice. The cost of the call is included in my consulting fee. The portfolio review lasts one hour.

4- During the call we address any and all areas of concern to you in regards to your work. These can include, among many possibilities:
- Print quality
- Color calibration and monitor, scanner or printer profiling
- Composition, use of light, "meaning" and other aesthetics aspects of your work
- Paper choice
- Dry mounting your work
- Matting and framing your work
- Marketing your work
- Selecting and using a RIP
- Paper and canvas selection for specific ink and printer combination
- Spray Coating selection for specific canvas (or paper) and ink combination
- Taking into consideration your specific intended use when selecting paper, inks and coating
- Studio set up and installation, either for a complete studio or for specific equipment
- any other area of interest based on your unique needs

5- At the end of our consulting call you have the option to enroll in my seven-sessions one on one consulting program. If you decide to enroll you have the option of asking that this first session be part of the seven sessions program. In this instance you only need to enroll for 6 additional sessions.

Some examples of how the print review session can be tied to my seven session consulting program
- If you want to work on print quality I can reprint your digital files in my studio after making contrast, color, profile and other corrections to your images. I will then ship you my prints so that you can compare them to your prints. This comparison is one of my most popular aspects of my one on one consulting. It results in dramatic improvements in your ability to print your work to the highest standards as you benefit from my 25+ years of experience printing my work, first in the darkroom and now in the digital darkroom. It will save you years of frustrating trial and error and will place you immediately in the upper echelons of the photography printing world.

-If you intend to start selling your work, or if you intend to increase the marketability of your work, starting a seven-session program at this time is the best decision you will ever make. This long term program will allow you and I to work together towards developing a unique marketing plan to fit your needs and your goals. If you are just starting it will allow you to get a head start on the competition by learning in a few months what took me over 15 years to learn! Furthermore, this program will allow you to avoid making the mistakes everyone makes when they start selling their work. It will prevent you from having to attend what I call "The school of hard knocks"! Overall it will save you both time and money.

2 -Seven-Sessions One-on-One Consulting Program
Certain specific difficulties can be troubleshooted and resolved in an hour. However, when faced with a more challenging situation, or when you are working on a long term project or desire to seriously improve your work, start selling your work, or design a marketing program, a longer time period is necessary.

During my seven sessions consulting program we develop and implement a consulting program designed specifically to address your unique needs. Seven sessions give us plenty of time to work in depth on the specific areas of your choice.

This long term, one-on one-consulting program is designed to be sharpen your skills in specific areas of photography. The program consists of seven one-hour meetings at the rate of only $250 per hour (instead of my normal $300 hourly rate). You have the option of charging this program in one installment or in 3 equal monthly payments on your credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express). Your sessions will be scheduled once a month according to your schedule. At our scheduled time I will call you at the number of your choice. The cost of each call is included in my consulting fee and return shipping of prints sent to me is not included. The regular interval between each session is one month. This interval can be changed to accommodate your needs, however the 7 sessions program needs to be completed within a year.

3-Beaux Arts Photography Studio Visits
You are welcome to schedule your consulting appointment in our studio.  A studio visit can be used for the following purposes:

- to work one-on-one in person with Alain in his studio
- to purchase prints or portfolios
- to get help on specific aspect of your work
- to plan a marketing strategy to sell your work
- to work on any aspect of your photography (the list is too long to list everything here)
- to make decisions on software or equipment purchases
- to see our state-of-the-art  equipment and facility in person

Studio visits are billed at the same rate as one on one consulting:  $300 per hour or $250 for 7 hours or more. Consulting fees are prepaid. Studio visits are scheduled for a minimum of 2 hours ($600 prepaid).

If the purpose of the studio visit is to purchase prints, the cost of the prints is deducted from the $600 prepaid fee. There are no refunds if no prints are purchased or if prints purchased total less than $600. Prints purchased during a studio visit are not refundable since clients can see prints first hand. 

An appointment is required to guarantee we will be available on the day of your visit. Because of our busy schedule we recommend you make your appointment at least 2 weeks in advance and preferably a month early. If you wish to schedule your studio visit over several consecutive days, you need to schedule a minimum of 7 hours per day.

If you work with your spouse, or a family member or significant other, you are welcome to schedule your consulting time together. We do not charge extra when doing consulting with couples working together. An extra fee applies for visits by 3 persons or more at the same time.

4- Trip planning and photography locations
Do you need help finding locations for a photography expedition? Do you want suggestions about where to photograph at a specific time of the year, or in a specific area? Are you looking for a location you have seen in a photograph but are not sure where it is located? If the answer is yes we recommend you schedule a one on one "Photography trip and location planning" consultation with Alain.

Alain has over 20 years of experience exploring and photographing the Southwest, France, and other locations and can help you find specific loctiions, or organize your photography trip, be it for half a day or for several months. Alain also knows when is the best time of the year and the day to be at a specific location so you get the most beautiful light. This knowledge takes years of research and practice to acquire. Many professional photographers keep it to themselves. Alain has no secrets, as he likes to say, because for him what is unique is not what each of us know but what each of us sees.

5 -My unique No Pressure Money Back Warranty
You are free to stop the sessions at any time if you are not satisfied for any reason and get a refund for all unused sessions. If at any time during this program you decide this program is not working for you, just tell me and we will stop the program right away. You will receive a refund for all unused, prepaid sessions. No pressure. This is a one on one program, and if it is not working for you it clearly cannot continue with me alone. I completely understand.

6 -Registration
Participation to my one on one consulting and workshop programs is very limited and in high demand. Availability is granted through a two step process: first, review of your work and goals, second, available openings. A wait list is available and is often the only way of being able to participate in this unique program. There is no charge and no obligation for asking to be on the waitlist.

7 -Liability Limitation
Beaux Arts Photography, Beautiful-Landscape.com, Alain Briot, Natalie Briot, guides, and cooperating agents aim to provide every participant a safe, educational, and enjoyable experience. We act solely as agents for you regarding accommodations, special activities, and travel, by any means, and assume no liability for any act, error, omission, injury, loss, delay, mishap, or damage to persons or property arising from any cause during the course of the workshop or the consulting or in transit thereto. We can accept no responsibility for losses or additional expenses due to delay or changes in the services to be provided. We reserve the right to change our arrangements should conditions necessitate, or to cancel any aspect of a workshop or consulting appointment due to exceptional circumstances. In the event that we deem it necessary to cancel the a workshop we will provide a full refund which the participant(s) acknowledges as full and final settlement. In the event that we have to cancel a 1 on 1 appointment over the phone we will reschedule this appointment at a time convenient for both parties. In the event of a a workshop or consulting appointment cancellation, airline tickets, car rentals and hotel reservations associated with participation in this activity will not be refunded. We recommend you purchase refundable airline tickets and make refundable car and hotel reservations. We also recommend you carry travel and camera equipment insurance.

Consulting regarding any aspect of matting and framing is only available for customers who purchase mats & frames from us. We guarantee that our mats and frames will be cut and assembled to your satisfaction. However, we cannot guarantee the quality of mats & frames obtained from a third party.

When doing marketing consulting, keep in mind that we cannot guarantee that you will generate a specific income in regards to your business endeavors. We provide you with solid advice based on our many years of experience. However, your specific business income is dependent on many variables that are not within our control, including but not limited to the locations where you decide to sell your work (such as shows, retail locations, etc.) changes in the economy, competition, political changes, suppliers, personal business arrangements, motivation, workload capabilities, and numerous other variables. However, in our experience, we have noticed a definite relationship between hard work and positive outcome. Students who work hard and spend the required amount of time marketing their work (this amount of time is discussed during our consulting) regularly fare much better than students who work less and spend less time on their marketing.

In regards to 1 on 1 field work, as there is always an element of risk in any adventure associated with the outdoors, participants must read this form carefully. This liability release will certify that the participant is physically fit and capable of participating in outdoor photography exercises in field locations, and is fully and completely aware of any associated risks created by field locations and weather.

Meeting times, meeting places and itinerary are subject to changes dictated by the weather, the road conditions and other imponderable variables that are part of doing landscape photography. We do not carry cell phones. You are responsible for being at the meeting place at the designated time and have your photographic equipment with you.

By joining this one on one program I acknowledge that I have read the above information concerning responsibility and release Beaux Arts Photography, Alain Briot, Natalie Briot, their guides, instructors and any cooperating agent from any liability. Beaux Arts Photography, Alain Briot, and Natalie Briot will assume no liability for injury, illness, or loss of personal property, income or expenses thereof associated with participation in this program. I also acknowledge that Alain and Natalie Briot have the right to refuse service to anyone at anytime.

Cancellation policy:
All monies are non-refundable. If you cancel participation in this consulting program your registration fees may be transferred towards registration in another Beaux Arts Photography workshop under certain conditions. Transfer of fees to another workshop is not automatic and is decided solely by Beaux Arts Photography as a courtesy. We reserve the right to decide whether to transfer your fees to another workshop or not. You must register for another workshop within one year from the starting date of the workshop you originally registered for. Participants transferring from another workshop will be registered for this other workshop in excess of the regular number of participants. We can only accept 2 transfers per workshop. If you decide to attend a higher priced workshop, or if the workshop fee has increased, the difference in cost between the two workshops will be charged to your credit card when you notify us that you want to sign up for this other workshop. Your registration is guaranteed only when we have payment in full. We reserve the right to change this policy at any time. Workshop fees can only be transferred to another workshop and cannot be used towards purchase of a product such as mats, portfolio cases, CD or DVD tutorials, prints, portfolios, or other. Workshop fees cannot be transferred towards purchase of the Printing Mastery Workshop on DVD. If this workshop is cancelled by us you will receive a full refund.
