The Photograph
I am pleased to announce the release of the thirteenth Alain Briot Print of the Month Collection photograph: Bicycle in Paris Courtyard.
This photograph was created with the Canon Digital Rebel (Canon 300D) and printed on the Epson R-800 printer. This prints demonstrates the amazing quality one can get from the combination of this specific camera and printer. The digital file was processed with Phase One Capture One SE and the print was done using the Epson profiles provided with the R-800.

The Image
This photograph was created in Paris during my most recent visit to my hometown in December 2003 - January 2004. This courtyard is located in the Marais district, an area of Paris which has remained quite unchanged for hundreds of years. In many ways, it looks today the way it has always looked. This bicycle hints at a way of life that was more quiet, more peaceful, less rushed than today. The soft pastel colors of this image, the vertical composition, and the timeless quality is what attracted me.
