1 – Become an expert in light
\nThe most important aspect of photography is not the gear you own or the techniques you use. \u00a0The most important aspect of photography is light.

\n2 – Compose your images carefully
\nSlow down
\nUse a viewfinder
\nWalk the scene
\nGive equal importance to all the areas of the frame
\nRefine your compositions progressively
\n
\n3 – Study colors and contrast
\nStudy the contrast of the scenes you photograph.\u00a0Study the color palette of the scenes you photograph.
\n
\n4 – Focus on quality not quantity.
\nThe goal of Fine Art is not to create a lot of images.\u00a0The goal of fine art is to make a small number of great images to be enjoyed for a long time.
\n
\n5 \u2013 Master both art and technique
\nFine art is about both art and technique.\u00a0Do not study just one or the other.\u00a0Study and practice so that you master both.
\n
\n6 – Master all the aspects of Fine Art Photography
\nPhotography is a multi-parts process.\u00a0These include composition, conversion, optimization, printing, curating, exhibiting, etc.\u00a0Learn how to complete each step to fine art standards.
\n
\n7 – Optimize your photographs using layers in Photoshop
\nDon’t do all the optimization work in the raw converter.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

8 – Make the final print your goal
\nDo not just learn how to take and optimize photographs.\u00a0Learn how to print them well. \u00a0Nothing is as beautiful as a fine art print.\u00a0Photographs in books, magazines, on the web, etc. are all reproductions
\n<\/span>
\n9 – Mat and present your work in a professional manner.
\nThe print is not the end of the process. \u00a0A Fine Art photograph needs to be matted and framed.<\/span>
\n
\n10 – Focus your work and efforts on projects
\nDon’t photograph everything that attracts your eye.\u00a0Be selective and deliberate in your choice of subject matted.<\/span>
\n
\n11- Share your work with others and build an audience
\nDo not keep your prints in boxes.\u00a0Learn how to exhibit and promote your work so you can share them with others.\u00a0It is by exhibiting your work that you will find an audience.<\/span>
\n
\n12-Do not try to recreate the wheel.
\nInstead, learn from those who know and teach how to do what you want to do.\u00a0Get advice from those who are where you want to be.<\/span>
\n
\n13- Develop a Personal Style
\nHaving a personal Style will make you stand out from everyone else
\n<\/span>
\n14-Do not expect success overnight
\nIt takes time to do this well.\u00a0Patience, perseverance and not giving up are the keys to success.\u00a0You can only progress step by step
\n<\/span>
\n15-Do not overestimate talent.
\nTalent is not within our control. \u00a0Hard work and not giving up are. \u00a0Many more succeed because of hard work than because of talent. \u00a0We succeed because we control what we do.<\/span><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n
